Today is Christmas. And if you are Christian or just like getting presents, you are probably going to get some presents today. Get some presents...spend some time with family...eat figgy pudding and what not...then what? Play a game? Maybe. Go out to the bar? If it's open. Go see a movie? If it's not sold out. Watch a Christmas classic? Could be. So without further adieu, I present to you a couple of battles that relate to Christmas Classics. Some very dear to my heart and others that are not so much. Enjoy.
I really enjoy watching video game related shows. I think that I may enjoy it even more than playing the video games themselves. A well done segment on a video game can take me back to the past and well that is what these video game tv shows do. They take you back to two different times in video game generations. Starcade was during the eve of the video game crash and Video Power was riding high on the upswing of the NES. It is surprising that the crash didn't happen sooner than '83. Starcade is still fun to watch, but it is dated even more poorly than Video Power, in my opinion.
Okay, so I am a little late on this because I guess it is already November 7th. However, I still wanted to showcase the battles below since it struck my geeky chord and filled me with geekiness. V for Vendetta was stylishly awesome and Back to the Future is a poppy classic that no one will ever forget. So why not, have them battle it out over the 5th of November. Battle on...
For an extra treat, check out AVGN's review of "Back to the Future" on NES. It yields high hilarity for another shitty NES game from LJN.
I actually made this battle last month on sucksorrules.com after a long hiatus from frequenting their site. I have decided to showcase the last geeky horrible battle that I made on their site. I may continue to showcase more battles of my own and maybe some that I find to be awesomely geeky from other SoR users. I was thinking about maybe doing a daily battle...but I think we all know that would require a lot of commitment that I am just not able to live up to. Anyway, without further adieu...
